If you're like most small business owners, you got where you are quite by chance. You bootstrapped your success, building one upon another until you created a profitable business with nothing but your own time and talents (or are in the process of doing so).

Congratulations on that! You deserve a huge pat on the back for coming this far!

But also like most small business owners, you've come to realize that it's not just as satisfying as you thought it would be.

So you set goals.

Maybe you want to earn $100,000 next year, or spend a week at a spa, or host a live event.

And as your productivity books have taught you, you write your goals down and maybe even dutifully add dates and deadlines to mark their importance and spurn some creative inspiration.

But they just sit there. They never seem to get "ticked off the list", and in fact, if you were honest with yourself, you kind of procrastinate around them.

They loom over your head, although you truly want them to come true.

So why haven't you achieved them?

Because you can't see them...yet.

Ask the top athletes in any game or Olympic competition what sets them apart from the average, and they won't tell you it's talent or endless practice or even money to hire the best coaches.

It's their vision to see the win.

You have to be able to see yourself accomplishing your goal if you want it to become a reality. That's what "visualization" is all about. 

Unlike numbers on a spreadsheet or words in a journal, pictures help to paint a mental image that can drive you to reach higher and work harder.

The difference is, with a clear goal in sight, you'll find more focus to help keep you on track to achieve even your biggest dreams.

And that's what a Breakthrough Board is all about!

Is this the same thing as a "vision board"?  

For all intents and purposes, yes. However, in my world, I like to call them Breakthrough Boards, because they symbolize how your life will look and feel when you've achieved your breakthrough. But, yes, the concept is the same!

What if I don't really have time to spend making something all involved? I'm kinda busy. 

You don't need very much time to create your actual board. You can do it in an afternoon! There are many tools to make this as painless and as easy as possible and I will show you how.

What if I don't want to spend a whole bunch of extra money at a store to do this? 

If you don't want to spend a dime creating a Breakthrough Board, you don't have to. Besides the possiblity of using common household items, there are many alternative ways to create a board separate from the traditional way which are absolutely free to make. 

I think I heard my pastor/friend/random person on YouTube say that vision boards are "demonic" or "New Age". What gives? 

God gave us imagination, and he also admonishes us to live by faith. Hebrews 11:1 says "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen." You could almost say a Breakthrough Board is the physical representation of the things you are hoping for, by faith. We use them to stay on point, connecting us to our purpose and calling in our breakthrough.

I don't feel I am the creative/crafty type. Will this still work for me? 

Use as little or as much creativity as you want. Making a board can be as easy as 1-2-3! Don't stress or fear that you have to be a class-act artist to succeed at this. Breakthrough Boards are literally for anyone and everyone.

I've tried vision boards before and it didn't "work".
